Books and Documentation Department
The AARC’s Department of Books and Documentation is tasked with promoting books, reading and Algeria’s documentary heritage through the organisation of cultural events, literary gatherings, conferences, book fairs and exhibitions dedicated to authors, publishers and professionals in the sector.
These activities aim to encourage reading, promote national literary creation and foster exchanges between the various stakeholders in the book industry
Cultural projects bringing together Algerian authors and writers living abroad and their counterparts residing in Algeria.
Algerian cultural initiatives and events abroad, with a focus on books. A support programme for creative work and dissemination aimed at writers and young talent.
To promote the Algerian literary scene abroad. Writing residencies abroad for literary and poetic authors, and in Algeria for foreign literary and poetic authors. Organisation of conferences, forums and seminars on books and translation into various languages.
Participation in book fairs and events in Algeria and abroad.
The design and production of all artistic and cultural programmes in the field of books and literature, with the support of cultural associations active in this field.
