Film and Audiovisual Department
The AARC’s Film and Audiovisual Department is tasked with organising film events such as the Short Film and Documentary Days, aimed at young Algerian filmmakers to enable them to present their work to the public and engage with professionals from the film industry.
This event also aims to offer students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of cinema.

In addition, the department is organising training courses for aspiring filmmakers in the film and audiovisual sectors, thereby contributing to the development of Algerian film production.
Departmental responsibilities: Organising film previews; Hosting Short Film Days dedicated to young talent;
Organising masterclasses and other training workshops in the film industry for students at the Institut Supérieur des
Métiers des Arts du Spectacle et de l’Audiovisuel (ISMAS) and other institutions; Organising artistic residencies in the field of cinema (film music composition, screenwriting, etc.).
